They have a better selection then the Paramus location.
I've been to the TJ Maxx in the same mall and had much better experiences.
Crime occured while i was there. someone ran in the store and grabbed merchandise and jumped in their car. the area is unsafe as are all route ten shopping centers. They used to have security at the front door then they stopped it? while shopping hold your purse tight. other than that the staff is pretty welcoming and helpful. the shoppers are pleasant. the selection varies but i have found gorgeous things there. i rarely walk out empty handed.
Store staff is rude and gives you the fifth degree when they find you're making a return. Had an online order I needed to return but had already removed the tags because I wash clothes before wearing them, obviously the tags aren't washer friendly. Anyway upon going to the store on 10/29, while standing in line I witnessed the manager (mid-late 20s, Black female with glasses, short) rudely retort to an older woman who wanted to make a return of a Nordstrom product that "(she's) the manager on duty and that there's no one higher than (her) in the building so go return it to Nordstrom then". Then getting into it with a male customer who wanted to return a shirt with no tag that had a small hole in, at which point he asked for her info which she (reluctantly) gave him. After which it was my turn up at the counter, with my printed out order and order # listed and the item in my hand (a crispy pair of unworn Levi's that had an imperfection upon receipt) which I merely wanted to exchange for a similar pair. Manager walks over and sarcastically tells me "oh sorry with no tag we can't take these back". Not to mention prior to saying that she asked if they were Haute Look or came from Nordstrom (I saw where this was going). I smiled, said thank you and left this establishment. Employees are rude, but how can you blame them? The manager is setting a poor example by ranting at customers like some evil repressed fire breathing dragon. You would think the very people who are paying her check would get some type of respect. No it's "oh that's not a purchase so please get out". Worst experience I've had in a Nordstrom store, and I've worked for these guys smh.
Not a great experience at this location. The store was congested, clothes on the floor, dusty racks, not a great selection and prices were wrong. The staff didn't seem to care about the condition of the store, in fact, they were gathered in a corner talking among themselves. When asked a question, one of the reps gave me a face like, "why are you bothering me". Not a good experience..
The service is only good when the place is empty, and even then it's not great. A sales woman ran into the dressing room to tell me I wasn't allowed to try on something at 8:55. It was 1 shirt.
